Counselling for Anxiety & Overwhelm in Melbourne & Online

You’re busy doing all the things; holding it together, showing up for others, staying on top of work and life. But underneath, you’re exhausted. You feel anxious, overwhelmed, and like it’s only a matter of time before something slips.

Whether it shows up as overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or the inability to rest, anxiety has a way of making you feel like you're always behind. And when you're constantly in your head or on high alert, it’s hard to feel present, grounded, or connected to yourself and the people around you.

At Morrow Endeavour Counselling and Psychotherapy, we offer trauma-informed, compassionate counselling for anxiety and overwhelm, supporting you to understand where these patterns come from, and how to gently shift them.

Who Can Benefit from Anxiety Therapy?

This therapy is for anyone who is living with anxiety or high-functioning anxiety.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like panic attacks or avoidance. Sometimes it looks like:

  • Struggling to slow down or switch off

  • Feeling overwhelmed by small decisions or daily tasks

  • Constantly trying to meet others’ expectations or holding yourself to impossibly high standards

  • Saying “yes” when you want to say “no”

  • Getting caught in a loop of overthinking and self-criticism

  • Feeling exhausted from trying to keep everything under control

  • Feeling disconnected from your body or your needs

However your anxiety presents in your life, we are here to support you.

In counselling, we make space for the deeper story behind your anxiety. Together, we gently explore the roots of your overwhelm - what’s going on in life, as well as the nervous system responses, relational patterns, or protective strategies that have helped you manage stress, avoid pain, or stay in control when things felt difficult or uncertain. These responses were helpful at one time, but may now be keeping you stuck or adding to your anxiety.

How Counselling for Anxiety Can Help You

Our approach

The work we do together draws from a combination of trauma-informed, somatic, and relational therapies, and may include:

  • Body-based awareness: Supporting you to tune into your body’s signals, so you can better understand how anxiety shows up and begin to settle your nervous system in gentle, sustainable ways.

  • Emotional regulation: Offering practical tools to help you manage moments of overwhelm, while also building longer-term capacity to sit with emotions safely.

  • Exploring the roots of anxiety: Gently uncovering the experiences, beliefs, and patterns beneath your anxiety, not simply managing the surface symptoms, but understanding where they come from and why they’ve been there.

  • Safety in relationship: Creating a therapeutic space where you feel seen, respected, and able to move at a pace that feels right for you.

Whether you're navigating burnout, boundary challenges, inner criticism, or a constant sense of urgency, we’re here to support you to come home to yourself, with less anxiety and more clarity, calm, and self-trust.

Ready to Begin?

If you're ready to take the next step in understanding your anxiety, or if you simply want to explore how therapy can support you, we’re here to help.

At Morrow Endeavour Counselling and Psychotherapy, all our therapists work from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and non-pathologising lens. That means we don’t see anxiety as a flaw to be fixed, but as a signal from your nervous system that something needs attention, care, and support.

Depending on your needs, we may integrate somatic therapy, mindfulness, parts work, psychodynamic approaches, or practical skills for emotional regulation.

We welcome the parts of you that feel messy, sensitive, stuck, or too much.

You don’t have to keep pushing through.

We’re here to support you to feel less overwhelmed, and more like you again.
