Our Approach to Therapy

Our team uses a personalised blend of approaches, including somatic therapies, trauma-informed therapies, cognitive therapies, and relational therapies, to meet you where you are and support you in ways that feel manageable and meaningful.

You won’t be pushed to share anything before you’re ready. Instead, we’ll work at your pace, explore your goals, and gently support you in building awareness, resilience, and self-trust.

No matter what brings you to therapy, whether it’s stress and anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, cultural identity and belonging, or a sense that something could be different, we’re here to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity.

Our counsellors are:

  • At Morrow Endeavour Counselling and Psychotherapy, we take a non-pathologising approach to therapy, which means we see patterns, behaviours and beliefs as understandable and adaptive responses to life experiences.

Rather than seeing you as a diagnosis or label, we focus on understanding the full context of your story, including your relationships, history, and environment.

This perspective allows us to hold space for all parts of you with compassion and curiosity.

Together, we make sense of what you’ve been through, and work toward growth, healing, and reconnection, on your terms.

  • Your identity, culture, community, and lived experiences matter.

In culturally responsive therapy, we recognise that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to healing or growth.

We take the time to understand how your unique background, values, and worldview shape your experience, and how these intersect with systems of power, privilege, and oppression.

We approach this work with humility and an openness to learn. Whether you're exploring intergenerational stories, navigating experiences of marginalisation, or reconnecting with cultural identity, we offer a respectful and inclusive space where all parts of who you are welcome.

  • When you've been through overwhelming or painful experiences, it’s not always easy to feel safe in your body, in your relationships, or in the world around you.

That’s why all of our work is grounded in trauma-informed care.

This means we honour your pace, your boundaries, and your wisdom. We pay attention to how trauma can show up, not just in thoughts or behaviours, but in the nervous system and relationships too. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?”, we explore “What happened to you?” and how we can begin to gently find repair.

You’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and care as we create a space where healing can begin - a space that supports you to feel safe, empowered, and connected.
