Child & Adolescent Services
Children and adolescents face many challenges as they grow, from physical and emotional changes to social pressures. These transitions can often be overwhelming for both young people and their parents.
At Morrow Endeavour Counselling & Psychotherapy, we provide a supportive environment for your child to express their thoughts and feelings, navigate these changes, and cope with the issues they are facing. We also offer guidance to parents on how to initiate conversations and discuss difficult topics.
Areas of Support:
Emotion regulation Behavioural concerns
Challenges of living out of home
Relationships (familial and non- familial)
Learning Difficulties and School Engagement
Grief and loss
Child abuse, including sexual abuse
Trauma, including family violence and sexual abuse
Anger, anxiety, and depression
Difficulties in expressing emotions
Low self-esteem and self-worth
As a parent, you strive to help your child reach their full potential, but it can be difficult to know how best to do this, especially if your child is struggling to manage their emotions.
Using a collaborative approach, we work with you and your child to improve family dynamics and support your child's wellbeing. While your child is the main focus of therapy, we involve you from the outset, making you a partner in the process and keeping you informed about your child's progress.
Our Approach:
We use the Tree of Life approach, underpinned by narrative therapy, which helps children and adolescents explore their identity, strengths, and aspirations in a creative and empowering way. This approach enables young people to visualise their lives as trees, with roots representing their background, trunks for their skills, and branches for their hopes and dreams. Through this metaphor, they can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and build internal and external resources to navigate life's challenges.
If you’re concerned about your child, we encourage you to reach out for support. Therapy can help them thrive both at home and at school.
